The most frequenty asked questions about us are: Q. Why should I have my vehicle detailed? A. Dirt and other pollutants, on your vehicle’s exterior and interior surfaces, along with lack of conditioners and protectants, are the primary causes of deterioration in a vehicle’s appearance. Washing removes the loose pollutants, whereas detailing is a deep cleaning, rejuvenation, conditioning, and protection of all the surfaces. The defects that have penetrated surfaces are removed, such as oxidation, swirl marks, scratches and more. The interior is cleaned and protected by conditioning the leather and vinyl to prevent cracking. Cloth interiors are cleaned and protected from food/beverage spillage, etc. Interior odors are eliminated.
Detailing should be a part of your vehicle’s regularly scheduled maintenance program. Just as maintaining it mechanically is important in protecting your investment, the same is true for maintaining it’s appearance. Because of the rising costs of purchasing a new vehicle, or obtaining a quality paint job, maintaining it’s appearance is the wisest and most economical alternative. Q. Q. Can you GUARANTEE PERFECTION? A. The honest answer is no. I do not think within reason that "100% perfection" is obtainable. I do what I can to SAFELY get the paint condition to close to perfection as I can. (i.e. removing defects such as scratches and swirl marks) Some defects are simply not going to be able to removed even as minor as some may seem.
Q. Can all scratches be removed from the paint? A. The answer is yes AND no. Scratches are essentially removed paint from the surface. Depending on the severity of scratch (how deep and wide) the clear coat around it can be leveled (either wet sanded or polished) to reduce the appearance of the scratch. Some scratches are simply too deep to reduce safely, general rule of thumb, if you can catch the scratch with your fingernail it is too deep to polish out completely. Touch up paint can be applied to these types of scratches and sanded to level out the paint, this process is however very tedious and time consuming to do properly.

Q. How often should I wash my car at Car Spa? A. It depends. Personal preference, where you drive your car and where you park your car are just a few of the variables that you must take into consideration. When cars are subjected to contaminants such as pesticides, sand, salt, and industrial fallout (airplane and train residue), we recommend that your car be washed weekly to protect your cars delicate finish. Q. What if I don’t have the time or money to wash and wax my car regularly? A. You can’t afford not to protect your investment.Next to your home, your car is your second most valuable asset. Car spa offers safe, high quality car washes and waxes at affordable prices.
Q. I have clear coat on my vehicle. Why should I wax it? A. Clear coat is paint that lacks pigment. It is put on at the factory to give a shiny appearance to your paint color. Because it is a paint, it is still vulnerable to all the outside elements that paint is, such as oxidation, scratches, bugs, tar, etc., and it will deteriorate, as any paint does, if it is not kept clean and protected.
A. My vehicle is brand new. Why should it be detailed? Q. While a next to new car or brand new car may not need high reconditioning, it still needs to be maintained. Constant upkeep will help keep your vehicle looking new for as long as possible. If polishing is not needed to remove defects then a light cleanser can be applied after clay barring, then a wax or sealant applied to lock the beauty. Remember that although vehicles have clear coat, the clear coat still has to be protected from the elements.
Q. Always keep a good coat of wax or paint sealant on the car. A. In addition to providing gloss and depth, wax will also protect your car from the elements, including sunlight and many other circumstances that you will encounter, from bug carcasses to bird droppings.
Q. Make a habit of detailing your car. A. In most cases, washing your car once a month is adequate. Once every two weeks is better and necessary if the car is subject to harsh conditions.
Q. How can I tell if my vehicle needs waxing? A. Clear coat paints make it more difficult to determine when your vehicle needs waxing. It may need attention far sooner than its appearance would indicate. When in doubt, there are two simple tests to try to determine when your vehicle needs waxing: First, wad a clean, dry terry cloth, and rub it along a clean upper surface of your vehicle’s hood or trunk. If you hear squeaking, that’s a sure sign that the vehicle needs waxing. Second, run your fingertips along the upper surfaces of your vehicles hood and trunk. If you detect rough spots or feel drag, you also know your vehicle needs waxing. The best course of action is to get on a regular maintenance schedule. Ducky’s can suggest a schedule that is right for your vehicle.
Q. What is dressing? A. Dressings also provide a protective shield and many offer UV protectionand Would prevent cracking
Q. Why shouldn't fillers and glazes be used to correct imperfections? A. Today some polishes and many glazes are made with fillers in them. These fillers do not actually remove the scratches, instead; they fill them in to temporarily hide them. After you wash your car, or after it rains, the fillers will wash away revealing the same scratches and imperfections as before. Polishes and glazes like these are commonly used by body shops, dealerships, or other detailers who don't want to correctly remove imperfections.
Q. What is Paint Selant?. A. Sealants are synthetic and chemically engineered polymers used for paint protection. It has similar characteristics as traditional waxes such as improving appearance and adding a protective barrier against the elements but that is as similar as they get. Generally, sealants have more durability (how long it lasts on the paint) then waxes. Sealants can last anywhere from 3-6 months depending on environmental conditions and other factors. They can last longer during summer heat having a much higher melting point than traditional carnauba waxes.
Q. What is a Carnauba wax? A. Carnauba wax is probably one of the most popular type of products use to protect paint and has been around for a long time. Your typical Carnauba wax product will last for about one to two months depending on several conditions. A Carnauba wax is meant to give the paint great depth and gloss. The downside is it does not last very long.
Q. What is a synthetic wax? A. A synthetic wax is basically a mix between Carnauba and a synthetic sealant. This gives you the best of both worlds, good depth and gloss as well as good durability.
